Confused.

4/13/18

Lies were told to her so much
that the truth confused her
so when she asked questions about it
an argument started.
Her soul so sad yet her personality
was so happy
so all she ever felt was confused
on how to feel.
   Thoughts raced through her head
she was so scared to voice them
she didn't want to hurt anybody
especially her loved ones.
Eventually it will all make sense to her
so all she could do for now is
stay quiet and keep to herself no matter
how much it destroys her and confuses her.

Mixed Colors

1/12/18

Mixed Colors

She was blue from head to toe, while he was grey from the inside out.
She was vibrant and radiant, while he was dull and boring.
She was purple from the inside out, while he was silver from head to toe.
She was sad and lonely, while he was bright and outgoing.
She was green from head to toe, while he was gold from the inside out.
She was happy and amazing, while he was kind and heroic.
Together they were a mixture of many emotions.
Filled with assorted colors, they became two different rainbows put into one.
People who are together, are together for a reason, not because they want to change the person, but because the person they’re with knew how they felt and edged their way into their life.

Do You Miss Me?

 Do You Miss Me?

      Three cold, long years
spent alone without you.
I was told you were coming back,
but more and more years passed.

I'm five now, today's my birthday,
waiting for you to show up.
Playing on the drive way as
happy as could be.
 When all of a sudden
I'm on the ground screaming.
Mom runs outside and police surround me
as I lie on the ground, but all I think is
 Do you miss me?

I'm ten now and we drop you off
at the airport.
Mom is standing outside smoking
some Newport's.
We wait until your plane gets here
and mom tries hard not to shed a tear.
I begin to think as you walk away,
Will you miss me?

I'm fifteen now and it's been a while
since you retired.
We don't talk as much as we used to,
I hear mom screaming at you.
Holding my ears to shut it out,
I begin to blast my music loud.

I'm seventeen now and I do my best
to ignore you because all we ever do
is argue.
I alway think to myself every night,
Do you miss me?
Because I miss you.
